The area that includes the beach cities of Daytona, New Smyrna, Cocoa and Vero is home to over 75 golf great courses. You can enjoy the World’s Most Famous Beach, the home of the LPGA Headquarters with two fantastic golf courses and the Kennedy Space Center while playing tracks designed by legends Palmer, Nicklaus, Player and many of the great golf course architects. The Race and Space Coasts feature championship golf courses that are affordable with plenty of open tee times and challenges to meet the handicaps of all golfers. Because they are vacation destinations, accommodations are plentiful near the golf courses and some even have lodging on site. You can ‘hang ten’ in Cocoa’s aqua blue surf or play 18 in the emerald green fairways of Florida’s East Central Coastline. To the south in Port St. Lucie is the PGA Village with 3 magnificent layouts designed by Tom Fazio and Pete Dye, the PGA Golf Academy with its 35 acre campus and a walk through history at the PGA Golf Museum. Your shots won’t travel ‘miles and miles’ like Astronaut Alan Shepard’s and the sand traps won’t be as big as the moon, but you will find plenty of sand and sun while enjoying great golf along the beaches of East Central Florida.
